Suitcases, Running Shoes, Books... Amsterdam Is Getting Closer...

Not long ago, Amsterdam was simply a date marked on the calendar.
Today it comes up in our conversations more and more often.
What do we need to pack?
Who needs what?
Is everything ready?
And probably the question we ask most often:
“How much time is left?”
Everyone Is Preparing in Their Own Way
In our house, everyone has their own list now.
Dad is thinking about the marathon, his training, his shoes, and everything he will need to arrive ready for his 42 kilometers.
Mom and Michał are preparing for their 7 kilometers.
Jerzy has his special race ahead of him, and I think even the thought of being part of such a big event already brings all of us so much joy.
And me?
My list looks a little different.
Books.
Promotional materials.
A plan for what I would like to do in Amsterdam.
And of course my camera and phone, because I want to preserve as many moments from this trip as possible.
Something More Is Going into the Suitcase
Packing for this trip will be a little different than usual.
Clothes will go into the suitcases.
Running shoes.
Everything needed for the races.
But “A Strand of Your Love” will be coming with us too.
When I think that not long ago I was simply dreaming of seeing my book in print, and now I am preparing it for a trip to Amsterdam, I cannot help smiling.
Small dreams really can lead to big things.
More and More Emotion
The closer the trip gets, the more the emotions change.
There is excitement.
There is a little stress.
There are questions about whether everything will go according to plan.
But most of all, there is enormous joy that we will be able to experience it together.
Amsterdam will not be the setting for only one race.
Several different stories will be happening there at the same time.
Dad and his marathon.
Mom and Michał and their 7 kilometers.
Jerzy and his own start.
My book and the next step in its journey.
And our whole family in the middle of it all.
Two Teams, One Shared Road
Behind this trip is my Team Ziętarscy.
But I also feel the tremendous support of Amber Moon Publishing House Team (ambermoonph.com), which accompanies me on my writing journey and helps me take the next steps with my book.
I am going there with the support of people who believe in my dreams.
Just a Little Longer...
Amsterdam is getting closer.
Team Ziętarscy is almost ready.
“A Strand of Your Love” is too.
And me?
I think I am still trying to believe that this journey is really about to begin.
We are counting down the days. Amsterdam, we will see you very soon.
