Destination: Amsterdam

In my first post, I told you a little about myself, my family, and the dream that has just come true - publishing my first book.
Today it is time to tell you about another dream.
This time, it is not only mine.
Amsterdam Ahead
This October, our whole family is traveling to the Netherlands.
Our destination is Amsterdam, and the reason for this trip is very special.
My dad will compete in the TCS Amsterdam Marathon.
42 kilometers.
The number alone is impressive, but behind every marathon is so much more than one day of running.
There are months of training, fatigue, discipline, overcoming your own weaknesses, and constantly pushing your limits.
That is why I want to share his road to Amsterdam with you as well.
Training session by training session.
Kilometer by kilometer.
Together, we will follow the preparations, the harder days, the small victories, and every step leading to the starting line.
And when marathon day arrives, our entire family will be there with him - cheering, supporting him, and waiting for him at the finish.
Two Dreams, One Journey
This trip will have another meaning for me as well.
While my dad pursues his running dream, I will be taking the next steps on my journey as an author.
Amsterdam will also become a place where I want to promote “A Strand of Your Love” and introduce my book to new readers.
When I started writing, I could not have imagined where this story would take me.
Today my book has been published in English, and with the support of Amber Moon Publishing House (ambermoonph.com), I have the opportunity to take another step and try to reach even farther with it.
That is when I realized that our two stories are more alike than they may seem.
Dad is preparing for a marathon.
I have begun my journey as an author.
Both of us have a goal ahead that requires patience, work, and the belief that it is worth continuing even when the road is not easy.
One dream leads to the finish line.
The other leads to the next pages.
The Road to Amsterdam Is Just Beginning
There is still some time before Amsterdam, so I want to take you with us from the very beginning.
I will share Dad’s marathon preparation, our family plans for the trip, and the behind-the-scenes work involved in promoting my book.
And then?
We pack our suitcases and head to Amsterdam.
