Amsterdam! Counting Down the Days to the Marathon🤚

There are exactly 4 days left until Sunday's big race, and the excitement in our house is slowly reaching a fever pitch. As a writer, I usually pour fictional stories onto paper, but what is happening in our lives this week is a pure, real-life script written by my family's sporting passions. We are going to Amsterdam!
You can already feel a bit of pre-race jitters in the air, but that is completely natural. Dad has just finished his absolute last light training session before Sunday's marathon – I am sharing a photo of his final preparations below! Now it is time for full recovery and carb-loading.
Our logistical machine kicks off tomorrow. First, we have a drive to Belgium, which will be our pitstop along the way, and from there, we are heading straight to vibrant Amsterdam.
The weekend promises to be incredibly intense for our entire crew. On Saturday, the first runners will hit the track: my mom and Michał will tackle the 7 km distance. Shortly after them, my son, Jerzyk, will have his big moment. He is running the 1 km race! Jerzyk is not even 5 years old yet, so this is a huge adventure for him. Interestingly, plans changed a bit, and it turned out just recently that I will be running right alongside him! I will be his personal support on the track, and I cannot wait to share this experience with him.
Sunday, on the other hand, is the moment of truth and the grand finale of our journey. That is when Dad will stand at the starting line to conquer the royal distance of 42 kilometers.

Keep your fingers crossed for our entire running family! I will post the next update straight from Amsterdam.

Zuza.
