Mom and Michał

Mom and Michał - 7 Kilometers Toward a Shared Memory
On our road to Amsterdam, everyone has their own goal.
Dad is preparing for the marathon.
Jerzy will have his special start.
And today I want to tell you about two more members of our Team Ziętarscy - my mom and Michał.
Both of them will take on the 7-kilometer distance in Amsterdam.
And although it is not a marathon, this start means a great deal to me.
The most beautiful part of this story is that each of us is adding our own piece to it.
Two Starts, One Family
My mom decided to stand at the starting line with us.
That is something truly special to me.
Watching our whole family become involved in this trip, take on their own challenges, and want to be part of the event fills me with joy.
Michał will also run 7 kilometers.
My partner, my loyal supporter, and the person who has supported me from the beginning - both in my writing and in our family plans.
Now he will stand at the starting line himself.
And this time, we will be the ones cheering for him.
It Is About More Than Kilometers
Seven kilometers is a specific distance.
But this story is not only about a number.
It is about deciding to try.
About preparation.
About the emotions before the start.
About waiting together.
And about that moment when all of us know that we are experiencing something special together.
Everyone will have their own course.
Everyone their own pace.
Everyone their own emotions.
But the finish will become part of one big family memory for all of us.
Amsterdam Is Becoming More and More Ours
The closer the trip gets, the more I feel that Amsterdam will not be only the place of my dad’s marathon.
It will be the place of our shared stories.
Dad - 42 kilometers.
Mom - 7 kilometers.
Michał - 7 kilometers.
Jerzy - his own special race.
And I will be there beside all of them.
Cheering.
Feeling every moment.
Taking photos.
Remembering.
And probably getting more emotional than I planned, once again.
Because that is what Team Ziętarscy is all about.
We do not all have to run the same distance.
We do not all need the same goal.
What matters most is that we are together.
Different routes. Different challenges. One family.
Amsterdam - here we come together.
